This statement is insane. You can't actually believe this, can you? David, I don't think you understand what Bob is saying. This is what I think he means. The vote in Florida will wind up exactly even. Mel Carnahan will be brought in to cast the deciding vote for Gore. Then Leiberman will resign the vice presidency to shift the majority of the Senate to the Democrats. Then Gore will select Carnahan for Vice President, it is to be noted there is no explicit constitutional provision against this, Gore did it, and as Vice president, he can confirm his wife as Senator. See? OT--did anyone notice MSFT seems to be strong today, even though the rest of the market is weak?
