You have an excellent point. A large part of the panhandle is in the central time zone and the polls were still open for another hour when the media called the election for Gore. I believe we need a law or prohibition on releasing any polling results until the polls close on the west coast. The information should not be released to the media until the west coast is closed. When the east coast results/prognostications are released 3 hours before the west coast is closed it has to influence people still waiting to vote. It should change.
