I believe that a threat of a GM lawsuit for trademark infringement over the "Corvette" which was renamed to be one of the manifestations of the Palomino made AMD cautious about using what could be interpreted as someone else's trademark. Jerry now refers to the stable as AMD's ponies. Curious...since the Morgan was an unusual British sports car of the fifties that was known to be extremely competitive in price given its performance. It came with a choice of engines (from other manufacturers) the most common of which, I believe, was from Triumph. That car was about as comfortable to ride in as a brick but it did handle extremely well for its era. Also, frame rust was never a problem since it had a wood frame. (I suspect that termites and wood rot might have been other considerations.)
