Analysis: Oregon vote could still determine next president
By STEVE SAILER, UPI National Correspondent

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- While the eyes of the world focus upon
Florida, the slow motion vote count that's still dragging on in Oregon might
determine who will be the next president.

If George W. Bush survives the Florida recount, but does not win Oregon,
he would finish with 271 Electoral College votes to Al Gore's 267. Bush
would have only one more electoral vote than the 270 that are the minimum
necessary to elect a president.
