Not necessarily this time, Robbie. Lots of absentee ballots were assigned to Jewish voters who most likely will support the Gore-Lieberman ticket. This, plus minorities serving in the armed forces could make even the absentee ballot count close.

Regardless of today's outcome and the outcome of the absentee ballots, it's clear, based on the Palm Beach County ballot discrepancy that Gore received more Floridian votes than did Bush. For Bush to assume the presidency under such conditions could result in a fate for the nation worse than other any ever known, except for the Civil War.
