Consider the best case outcome for tonight: either Bush wins by 1000-2000 votes, as now appears likely, or the last few counties tip the balance and Gore wins with a few 100s of votes. Gore (or Bush) pulls in his legal beagles and concedes to the other man, but this concession has no legal effect. The Florida election will not be certified until November 17th, to allow time for counting the absentees. It's anyone's guess as to how those votes might tip the balance. Like, gag me with a spoon!
