The Mercury news this morning indicated that the Palm Beach County ballot violated Florida law. If this is true and it had the effect of disenfranchising 22,500 voters, it seems to me that the fact that it was accepted by both parties is not germane to the issue.

Law suits will be on behalf of citizens deprived of their right to effectively vote by an unlawful ballot.

I think that proof that the ballot was unlawful and that voters were disenfranchiesed by it will require some remedy.
