What a hoot. Jesse Jackson and Bill Daley vote using the same butterfly ballot right here in Cook County, IL, but it`s illegal in Florida.
Another hoot, Bill Daley complaining about voting irregularities. He learned from the best, his Dad, Da Mayor:
But Daley's domain did not stop at the Chicago city limits, or even at the Cook county line. In fact, Daley is famous for "delivering" Illinois to win the election of John F. Kennedy as President in 1960. He knew his machine would have to turn out a record vote for Kennedy to be elected, for not only was Nixon's downstate support extremely strong, but the election nationwide showed ominous signs of being extremely close. He decided to put people ("poll-watchers") in every precinct in the state (not just the city...) to try to keep an eye on what he suspected was Republican vote fraud. Daley and his workers were up until the wee hours of the morning that election night, and after the `traditionally' fraudulent Will and DuPage counties had
turned in their votes, he released the Cook County votes, and only then was JFK elected, squeaking through by ten thousand votes in Illinois.[41] This ostensible instance of vote fraud on Daley's part was never proven, and one of Daley's campaign workers was heard to say that even if vote fraud was taking place, it would only have gone to balance out the Republicans' fraud downstate!
