Are you trying to compare the Republican Party of 1860 to the one of the Year 2000? Were you sleeping in History Class - talk about the dumbing down of America. The Republican Party of 1860 was more like the Democratic Party of today in case you wanted to know. Please read up on the matter - it might help to make you appear not so ignorant.
