asennal, Now - let's communicate clearly. Welfare is federal money. It is not donated by the recipients. Social security is funded specifically by the workers and their employers. So - in effect Social Security is a private insurance fund - gee that is the democratic argument that it is not welfare. So what is Social Security - welfare or an insurance program that is privately funded? Can you have it both ways!!!???? Bob
