Barb--I think the whole thing is a travesty already. We vote once every four years for president. But then not really, we vote every four years for an elector. And regardless Florida can't get it right when they only have to do it once every four years.
And because of that your vote this year counts less than one from Florida. A single vote in Florida right now can count for a great deal. Your vote always counts less than those from states like S. Dakota, Montana, and others which don't have the population to actually deserve their 3 electors.
So we have a national election hanging on a crucial county where idiots designed the ballots and bigger idiots used them. Judges making the decision in the end on who is going to be president (and I am not kidding myself I know in the end they will). A possible president who is not the actual majority choice of the nation. A possible president based on a re-vote that will be questionable if it occurs and questionable if it doesn't.
Funny how this doesn't feel like democracy.
