In general, I agree with your analysis.

However, at least the good thing (at this point in time in our nation's history), almost every major constituency has approximately an equal representation, at the national level anyway. Okay, perhaps not poor old Pat B. <g>

I have always found it sad that many people feel they have to end up polarizing everything into an "us" VERSUS "them" mentality. Let's face it. Anytime that a decision has to be made in this life, outside ourselves (as one single individual person on this planet we call earth), some degree (no matter how large or small) of compromise is ALWAYS required. Even if it's a simple as when and how you brush your teeth, or whether the toilet seat is left up or down. <g>

It doesn't mean that a person who has an absolutely polar opposite view to ours is "wrong" or evil. Some of my very best friends (and relatives) have political views and opinions drastically different from my own, but I've NEVER considered them "the enemy." Stupid, and ignorant fools perhaps...but never "the enemy." <ggg>
