Ann --Boy are you an optimist ---The Huskers and the Noles in the Orange bowl . Hopefully it will happen but definitely a long shot .

About the election two things come to mind :
1)This should not go to the court system --whoever loses the vote count should step aside . Anytime the courts are involved I have to question if the will of the people is being served .
2)The second is that if Clinton did nothing else while he was in office he polarized the country at large . As old as I am ( and feel at times ) the last time I remember the country being at odds like this was Vietnam ( by the way I was in the Navy and could feel the hate for serving my country ).

Well enough on politics ---on to personal wealth or the lack their of . Was listening to several economists yesterday plus Lazlo Biriyni and they were of the opinion that we were in for a hard landing . They all said the FED would be reactive to the economy going in the tank instead of being pre-emptive . I guess Greenspan was trying to control Oil prices because their has been so little inflation anywhere else until now .
The real problem by destroying the market is that he dried up the capital for companies to invest thus decreasing the impact that productivity has had in controlling inflation . If industry does not keep improving their efficiencies we will have stagflation next year and he will not have to worry about a tight labor market . It has always amaze me that he worries about a tight labor market when their are so many people looking for work in the world ( we would rather feed them than bringing into the world economy .

By the way in our state ( VA ) it is physically impossible to screw up voting . You cannot vote for more than one candidate in one group ( mechanical lever prevents this ). Also if you have a question their is a person assigned to every booth to answer questions and then will leave while you vote .

BEST WISHES
BILL
PS Would really like to see one or both of us playing for the title ---Good Luck in the Rematch
