I have no problem with a rule that says that folks convicted of a crime and serving time in jail forfeit the right to vote. But a lot of people in county jails have not yet been convicted; they have been charged, cannot make bail, and are awaiting trial. Folks are still presumed innocent until convicted, and that the fact that cannot make bail shouldnt deprive them of the right to vote. I imagine that Michael Milken voted after being charged for felonies, but before his conviction.
