Fred, perhaps you'll understand if I choose not to take moral direction from Ian. I would rather see Reverse Spit in charge of the SEC........ I must also disagree with your dismissal of the people who misvoted in West Palm Beach. If you saw a picture of the ballot, perhaps you were struck by the number of candidates running for president in the state of Florida. If memory serves, there were 7 or 8 candidates. The woman who designed the ballot was trying to get all the candidates on one page and make the print large enough for elderly people to see it. This is the American way. Of course Nader and the Libertarian candidate and the Socialist and the Voodoo candidates didn't have the chance of an ice cube in he!! of being president. But in America, they can be on the ballot....... As for the elderly, that is the generation that fought WWII. Maybe those of us who are younger and faster should elbow them out of the way. Why should risking one's life fighting on the beaches of Normandy or in the snows of Belgium rate some old geezer special considerations? It does because this is America. And if those old men and those old ladies born in a Model T world need a little extra help coping with a voting machine, I say "Help them!" Let us not be so naive as to think we will be any different if we should be so fortunate to ever be old. Regards, Suzanne
