NPLI FINDS WAY TO LIQUIDATE

Netpliance will sell thousands of i-opener units via QVC beginning today. This seems like a great way to get rid of the 27,000 inventory units. These units will NOT include the Netpliance software, however, but will instead use AT&T's internet service. In other words, they will sell what are essentially pre-hacked units which will work with AT&T's internet service even if Netpliance goes out of business. The product offering is called "i-opener Powered by AT&T WorldNet", and here is a news link describing that plan:
