If Gore is successful in getting a Palm Beach re-vote, I believe the re-vote should be expanded to all Florida resident and absentee voters. Why should a select few -- even if they punched the wrong button -- be able to re-cast a vote, having information about returns everywhere else, when all other voters cast their ballot without such knowledge. Should those few be allowed to cast a ballot again, and choose whomever they now wish to vote for? It is impossible to know who they intended to vote for last Tuesday, just as it is impossible to know if they have changed their intent over this time, with all of the press coverage and knowledge of other results.
