Bob, you are definitely out of line. The networks gave Florida to Gore before strong republican areas of Florida (the so called panhandle) had completed voting. Did you know that ? Also, nobody is saying that 20,000 people double punched. 20,000 ballots were thrown out. That could be for a variety of reasons. In 1996, 14,000 ballots were thrown out in the same county with a much smaller turnout. You can believe what you want. You have shown in the past that you don't have a clear head when facts contradict your emotions or investments.

It is people like you who give a bad name to democracy...

Even after screwing this all up, CNN.COM still writes the following:

"However, the tally compiled by The Associated Press is not the final word."

This is moronic. Voter News Service (another org they rely on) has the tally at bush +331 while AP has it at +327. These counts have been compiled by calling county bean counters. This is all screwed up. Either one of them can't count OR they are being lied to. In either case, this nonsense of believing pollsters or these services should be stopped...
