Not true at all. I think from the beginning of the Watergate break-in it was pretty obvious that it was an element of the Republican party up to their winning by any means or at any cost ways. Ultimately the trail did lead back to Nixon despite his earlier attempts to deny it.

But to say now that Bush Jr/Sr have engaged in a conspiracy to subvert the Florida result is pretty extreme. There really is no evidence of this. After all 5 burglars have not been caught with their hands in Florida elector boxes. The only thing you can say now is that Bush is exercising extreme poor taste in trying to claim victory in the face of a result that is not at all clear. This is not looking very Presidential to me. Nor does it look like he is the great compromiser and consensus builder that he tries to project. He is looking rather just like those win at any cost Republicans of the dirty trick past.

Commander in Cheat? Hail to the Cheat? The Republic deserves better. To choose the Rule of Rules over the Rule of Fairness deals a terrible blow to the ideals of citizenship. I think the country will pay a terrible cost for Bush's rush to claim an election where the will of the people has been cast aside through a flawed election process.
