Ramsey's "shy guy" pal asked me to point out the importance of Sprint's
Snaptrack selection as its technology of choice to comply with federally
mandated E911 as well as other position location applications.

By insisting that its handset purchases have Snaptrack in the future, Sprint
is MANDATING the use of Qualcomm chipsets in its phones. NOK and MOT will
NOT be selling any non-Q-inside handsets to Sprint starting with the MSM3300
line of chipsets and continuing on to 1X and 1X-EV versions. Spinco's 1Q01
roadshow will be very interesting.

PS. As Lehman is one of the underwriters for Spinco, one might think his
insight into the cdma marketplace, which has always been among the best, is
just getting better and better. Perhaps he even talks to TDMA carriers
about their plans for CDMA overlays ala 1X. Nuff said.
