OT P.S. Was that an algore sigh at the beginning of this post?? Unfortunately Palm Beach voters are either idiots or disenfranchised based on who you want for president. It's hard to put the shoe on the other foot. TV commentators mention Nixon's ostensibly generous refusal to upset the nation by asking for a recount in Chicago in 1960. What they fail to mention is that Kennedy told him if we recount Chicago we recount Southern Illinois. Nixon knew the results would be damming and said that wasn't such a good idea. Voter fraud exists. Anyone who claims it doesn't is naive --- and probably thinks Clinton was the first to abuse the Oval Office. If I were Gore I would step aside for the greater good, and in the process bank enough political capital to win by a landslide in 2004. In the interim I'd make sure someone wrote an expose that would take the abuses far beyond Palm Beach. I know one Florida State student who was denied her right to vote because she didn't have her sample ballot. The same happened to others at her university. By taking the office under a cloud, GeorgeW will be the first president to be the lead in a national sit-com. Someone should remind him Hollywood pays better. Pat
