President-In-Waiting Albert Gore still leads the popular vote by 220,000 votes. He will win the popular vote and will remain a powerful political leader for the next four years. He waged a terrific campaign. The Republicans tried to demonize him for 18 months. He is now the most popular political figure in America. We must continue to fight to amend the Constitution and finally make America a country where the President is chosen by popular vote. We choose Governors and Senators that way. Why not choose the President that way? We can trust the American people.
