Any TA guys out there?

I'll take a stab at it. The first support level I can see is 40.5. We bounced there in mid-Oct and are testing it again. How "stable" it is or whether it will hold is anybody's guess. Next support level is around 30 which was set in early 1999, though we could form support at some intermediate level as well.

I think your proposed plan sounds very reasonable although I might arrange my buy points so that I have enough ammo to continue buying just in case AMAT goes to extreme bargain levels, say 1x sales, though I don't see this scenario as likely. Depends on how concentrated you want your portfolio to be in AMAT. IMO AMAT is a great company and a decent proxy for the industry so I wouldn't be too concerned if that were to come to pass. Cary's concern about expected growth rates for $35 billion companies possibly lagging those for $10 billion companies is a consideration, however.
