JW - One of the suits alledges that the Palm Beach County ballot was illegal.

Now either it was or it wasn't. That is a matter of law. Differences of opinion over laws get sorted out by Judges in Courts. I know of no other way of doing this in a nation of laws.

Of course either of the parties to a dispute can capitualte prior to a judicial decision but in this case it is not one mans rights that are at issuee but the rights on 250m people and I'm not sure that anyone has the right to give up until the entire process has been run.
