I quite agree with you. Most people in the US do not appreciate how much freedom and justice we do have. Of course, that is what allows us to seek even more justice. As for "mass confusion", I think we can set a number on that, out of 400,000 ballots, about 20,000 were "confused", if that is "mass" or not, I know not. What does concern me is that is not the first time, in 1996 they had a similar confusion, but no one bothered to do anything about it since with or without the confusion the outcome would have been the same. Here, with pre overseas ballots a mere 300 votes out of 6 MM cast, may get the responsible parties to do something about that confusion. I surely would not want to be the one deciding the outcome.
