You offered a faulty analogy. In the first instance you gave them something to hold which belonged to you and there was disagreement as to it's size. You could establish your side, I'm guessing, with documentation.

In the other you give them an instruction which they have a fiduciary responsibility to comply with. You order and they execute and agreement is established. Changing you mind cannot be used as an argument in reversing a situation you directed and they complied with. The situation can be undone, but you must bear the costs of doing so.
