If I was Gore, I wouldn't concede until the last votes were counted-or at least close enough to be sure of the outcome. The Republicans should not protest the manual recounts, but instead be SURE they have competent people watching the count.

If I'm Bush, I don't concede a thing until the votes are counted, and I make sure I have the very best lawyers fighting the radical Left's attempts to steal the election through the courts. I also pursue recounts in any state where the margin is razor close.

As a Republican, no one asked me if Gerry Ford or Nixon should have conceded without a fight in '76 or '60. The party might be surprised at the answer about what was "good for the country"...
