You're asking too much. D-Dubya-I is still a frat boy at heart, so next week he'll go around with his chest out mouthing off about how he received a "mandate from America for change." Cheney and Dole, however, will still probably do his dirty work, doing the hatchet act on the Democrats.

Yeah, we've got a snowball's chance in hell of avoiding four more years of gridlock with a president who has been neutered politically by the fact he was the Second Banana in a Two Banana Race.

No congressional Democrat in his or her right mind would even think of working with Bush-DeLay-Lott-Armey. If they did, I wouldn't vote for 'em.
