The Florida Electors will be appointed whenever whatever challenges to Florida's election is concluded. In the meantime, once Clinton and Gore's terms expire on January 20, 2001, Denny Hastert, Speaker of the House, will be acting President, pursuant to the Presidential Succession Act, until either Bush or Gore qualify.

Florida has a constitutional right to have its Electors of the Electoral College vote, which cannot be abrogated by any court or any legislative body, only by a constitional amendment ratified by three fourths of the states.
