Adam - re: 'NCSA Researchers Report Early Intel Itanium Processor Performance Levels' This is FANTASTIC news - and indicates that the IA64 architecture may just be as powerful as Intel has expected it to be. Too bad the significance of this MAJOR TECHINCAL ITANIUM INDICATOR has been lost - on this thread and elsewhere - due to the Presidential election conundrum and the Edlelstone downgrade. However, the long term significance of this may entail a future, major surge in Intel's business - if the IA64 platform lives up to these early performance indicators. With Intel on sale today, "hints" of future success present excellent buying opportunities. I, for one, took advantage of it and bought more Intel today at $37 1/8. Paul
