Pallisard: Lev may not be interested in manufacturing hundreds of thousands of batteries per month, but he has to do it to demonstrate and prove the technology and thus enter licensing nirvana. Apple engineers are crying out for a reliable source of li-poly batteries in those quantities, and they haven't found one yet. If not VLNC, who? And when?
We'd all be best served if VLNC gets a few large contracts for large batteries, sources them primarily from NI, and uses licensees as second sources. The prototypes and small quantity stuff can still come from Reno. But manufacturing in NI must be fixed.
