that were originally voided, a percentage, perhaps a significant percentage, will upon visual inspection clearly indicate intent of the voter. Rich

Is there a reason to believe this wasn't already done, and that if the ballot could not be read by the machine, but the vote was obvious, it would have be entered manually? Aren't these the same type of machines that have been used for maybe a Billion votes, in many elections across the country.
