Ted Re..This AM, the Bush camp said the counting was done, Bush is the President-elect and they want to begin the transition process.....but big bad Gore won't let them.<<<<<<<<

I heard Baker's speech and I didn't hear anything about Bush starting a transition.

It wasn't Baker...his name was Rov something....I forgot what his campaign title is.

Only Jessie is trying to scream dishonesty. Both sides basically agree the election was honest.

That's not true....why do you think they want a hand count in several counties. J.Jackson is just more vocal about it.

If I were in the position of the Republicans, I would chill and let the process resolve the matter.

Both sides need to chill. They are playing with fire, and it just may start to rage out of control.

I agree.

Instead, they are in a great rush to push aside the matter and get their hands on the White House...that's what I call stinking up the joint.

If the matter you are talking about is the 19000 votes, that is precisely what should be done.

No, the matter I am referring to is the vote count. There are several thousand absentee ballots still coming into FL. At a minimum, they need to be counted before anyone does anything....and yet, the Republicans want to push that aside. Now why is that? Could the existing vote spread
of only 300+ votes have something to do with it?
