ROYAL RAMPAGE WEIGH-IN
By Flattop

In an intense atmosphere filled with the shouts of "TUA! TUA! TUA!" #1 challenger "Tuaman" David Tua stepped up to the scales and revealed a bulky muscular physique that balanced out at 245 pounds.

Beginning his pro career at 204 pounds, questions of Tua being out of shape were quickly dismissed by the Samoan 5' 10" powerhouse who stated, "It was never an idea to put on 20 or 30 pounds. It's all genetic...It's all natural." For his last fight, Tua weighed 243.5 pounds demolishing Robert Daniels in 3 rounds.

Next up, universally recognized heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis came in at his average weight of 245 pounds stretched on a 6'5" frame. Lennox will secure his 9th successful consecutive title defense if he conquers "Tuaman." The legendary Joe Louis holds the record with 25 successful title defenses.

The 29-year old challenger Tua proclaimed, "It has been a long time coming for David Tua. A couple of more days and it will be the 'New Heavyweight Champion' David 'TuaMan' Tua. If Lennox thinks I have just one punch, he will be in for a surprise. It's a different David Tua than (the one) two or three years ago."

Looking at the tank-like proportions of Tua, 35-year old champ Lewis commented, "I am naturally gifted when it comes to strength. I am one of those fighters that matures late."

Not looking past Tua, Lewis analyzed, "Tua is definitely a big challenge. I take him very seriously."
