Not to kick a dog when its down but......

The European court decision may be significantlty more far reaching than it first appears. To put it simply, the Lead Dog of the Evil Empire just got its head handed to it.

Q has defended its patent postion in Europe, Korea and Japan. What does this mean? Well it certainly affects the WCDMA camp as their position looks significanlty weakened by the decision. WCDMA, which was invented with the specific purpose of avoiding Q patents, will have to pay Q just like everyone else.

What this means is that now the market may realize that Q can pick the GSM supplier(s) it wants to "play with" in order to offer CDMA upgrades to GSM. That is a big deal. The hoax is exposed.

And don't forget:

qualcomm.com

TDMA guys have the most pressure and will crack first, then will come the GSM folks.

GSM is Toast.
