It seems to me that those overseas votes should have had a deadline for mailing of several weeks ago. They should have arrived at one place, for counting on Tuesday!!!

this would not allow the overseas people the same opportunity to examine all of the information about the candidates up until the date of the election.

What if somebody who is overseas was a victim of a drunk driver and one of the candidates has a record of drunk driving but it doesn't come out until 4 days before the election?

I think that it is fair to have the absentee ballots be submitted on the day of the election.
