Descending triangle is different, it is actually considered a bullish signal by many chartists.

The key to this pennant pattern is the flat bottom. 2300 on the COMP would be possible using a pure TA perspective, but as I said, I seriously doubt that.

Bottlerocket is right, we could bounce up here. But chances are...

If the chart could form a clean bottom formation of some kind, I'd be much happier. Right now does not look too good.

I searched the 'net for Poet for a picture of that pattern and found this page. I just read the whole thing and the dood is pretty sharp. He has most of the traditional patterns illustrated here.
