- BusinessWire

HOUSTON, Nov 10, 2000 (BUSINESS:CLW) (www.clearworks.net), publications are taking notice of its advanced products and services.

Ranked 18th by sales growth in the Texas top 100 technology companies, published by Texas Technology, the magazine notes that, "With a projected sales revenue of $25 million, Houston-based ClearWorks.net is aggressively attacking the need for broadband connectivity over a fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network."

In its summary of ClearWorks, the magazine also points out that CEO Michael McClere expects the subscriber base to expand by twenty times its present level in only 2-3 years. For the company, founded only three years ago, the growth is no surprise. Adds McClere in the magazine's write-up, "We're 100 times faster than what DSL can even deliver." All of this, including combining Bundled Digital Services (BDS) with video-on-demand and video conferencing services, skyrocketed sales by more than 178% in 1999.

Taking notice similarly, Broadband Industry News featured ClearWorks in its November 9th issue, focusing on the company's new Home Internet Switch that provides a gateway to broadband services. The publication notes that this universal gateway "supports delivery of VoIP telephone services, streaming video as well as Internet connectivity integrated into a single consumer-oriented economical platform." Also emphasized was ClearWorks' leadership in FTTH or the "last mile solution."

ClearWorks.net is one of the leading providers of Fiber To The Home (FTTH), often referred to as "the last mile" solution, for neighborhoods and businesses utilizing the company's Bundled Digital Services (BDS) which includes high speed Internet connectivity, dial-tone, digital multi-channel video, on-demand video rental, a community Intranet and other digital services.
