Hi Greg,

C-SPAN2 just rebroadcast today's "Mike Gallagher Show", a syndicated radio talk show. Bay Buchanan, Pat's sister and campaign manager was on the program and she reiterated that the Buchanans are certain that the Palm Beach County results are indeed an outlier. Ms. Buchanan stated that the Buchanans had not campaigned south of Duval County (Jacksonville) and the Florida panhandle in over a year.

You will notice on the tabular form that the only other county with a vote total for Buchanan greater than 1,000 is Pinellas County.

I've been trying to sort out the relationships of the Buchanan candidacy and the voter registration rolls:
election.dos.state.fl.us
Buchanan ran on the Reform Party ticket. In Palm Beach County, there are 337 voters registered in the Reform Party and 3,407 votes for Buchanan as the Reform Party candidate.

Carl Rove, chief strategist for the Bush-Cheney campaign states that we need to incorporate the Independent Party and the American Reform Party as well. I'm curious if anyone on the thread can explain to me the status of the Independent Party and its relationship to the Buchanan campaign. Is it in fact the case, as Rove suggests, that there is a concentration of folks in Palm Beach County who would plausibly be voting for Mr. Buchanan. And do they prefer Church's Fried Chicken to Zabar's?
