Yes I thought about it, in the context that Bush would win the popular and Gore the electoral.

Abolishing it would have been my choice before the election...but not retroactively. I'm still for the abolition of the electoral college by I don't give it more than a 50-50 chance of being changed in the next four years.

OTOH, popular count is not final either. Millions more ballots to count and Gore only up by about 175k.

I have faith Gore will steal this one in FL, either by the hand count (easy for fraud there) or bogus absentee ballots (Florida famous for this one too). Then it will be up to Bushs people to give it up or cry foul.
