>>>>Carl, You may be interested to know, it is now being reported that Hillary Clinton will introduce legislation to eliminate the Electorial College<<

When I was younger I was much in favor of what Hillary is saying. It was explained to me that the reason we have it the way it is is to reduce corruption. I now realize that is true, if the Electorial college is thrown out it will give large corrupt areas of the states much more power. With the electorial college even if one of the parties gets 95% of the vote (by fraud) all they really get is their states electorial votes. Maybe people who are in favor of doing away with the electorial college would change their mind if it was instituted and in the next presidential election the popular vote would be say 49 million to 45 million favoring 1 candidate in the other 49 states but in Illinois it was 5 million to 3 thousand favoring the other candidate.
