Whatever the outcome of the recounts, isn't the most important thing here that we can actually have a chance to scrutinize and improve the voting system? 19k ballots were thrown out in one county alone. How many votes is that across the USA - a million. If we can ensure a better and fairer voting process throughout the USA then everything will have been worthwhile. If everything is sweapt under the carpet then we will have learnt nothing. And that is what the rest of the world will be looking at.
