Joe,

The president has to make decisions.

Johnson was unable to make the right decision in Vietnam, and we paid dearly.

Nixon was unable to make the right decision about price/wage controls, and inflation and interest rates went to double digits as a result.

Carter was unable to make the right decision about Iran (and almost everything else he was faced with.)

Reagan was unable to make the right decision about managing fiscal policy, and the national debt quadrupled.

Clinton was unable to manage his personal affairs, and again the nation paid for it.

Please don't tell me that the President's intellectual capacity is not important.
