Recently, I wrote to Yogi on Mat board that technical analysis of a single specialist has to be qualified by his signature. The signature is really in the part of charting, a retrace.

If you look at the character of a specialist, it is his offers(yes auctions on NYSE is still offers in the private office of the specialist). The offers gave his character of the good and bad times the company endures. The fundamentals of the company and resulting stock chart gave the character of the specialist. The general trend of the chart speaks of the fortunes of the company. The Elliot 5 waves spells out the rise and fall of the company stock.

So if you superimposes the curves on the new happenings, and the prediction will be much more certain. You have the character of the specialist, the trend lines related to the fundamentals. Then you have the signature which is the exact part of the curve that might retrace.
