<Things never go perfectly.>

Of course they don't. But don't you think that when an election is this close and the other party is ahead in the popular vote, perfection should be strived for to get as accurate a vote count as possible in Florida? A lot is at stake. If people truely believe in the democratic process, then they should have the courage to endure the democratic process. I don't see anarchy developing. The State of Florida has done the right thing thus far(and is to be praised for its actions here up to this point) and Palm Beach County has agreed to do a vote recount by hand starting today. What I do see is the Bush campaign desperately trying to avoid the pursuit of Truth by getting a court injunction to prevent a vote recount by hand in Palm Beach county. Why is the Bush campaign and many Americans so fearful? The process that is taking place right now does not belittle our system of government; but shows how powerful and great it is. Sure, there are limitations inherent in all human endeavors (and especially in the concept of the Infinite), but when we become aware of a Limit, the opportunity presents itself to go beyond that Limit. This is what I call the courageous human striving for Perfection and Truth and that is what is required here when the results of this election have shown ambiguity, possible computer cliches and voter disenfranchisement.
