I argue that the intent of the voter to vote for their particular candidate is what's important. A misrepresented vote due to procedural error on such a large scale should not determine the next president of the United States. Do you really and truly question the intelligence of these voters? I for one think it's important we respect all the voters and make sure the vote collection and recording system records the true intent and will of the voter. Don't you? And no, it doesn't make me wonder that these people don't know whom they're voting for. Voting places can be intimidating and pressure filled. Asking for help can be very embarrassing, especially for old people who have to fight the stereotype that they are unable to help themselves . What makes me wonder is how so many intelligent people could put their partisan views first, above our basic civil right to vote. If the situation were reversed, I can't believe I'd be supporting the notion that Republican voters were too dumb to cast their vote properly, and therefore should be denied their vote.
