I agree about the death bed bit. That was pretty bad. As for the sighing, I do that all the time and it irritates the hell out of my loved ones. <g>
I don't even believe in "Get Out The Vote" campaigns. If you don't care enough to vote, then who needs your vote? I do think the place, time, etc. ought to be well-publicized and that the ballot should be user friendly. I also think we should have curtains on our polling booths, which we haven't had in Texas since I've been here. Kind of makes it risky to change your vote if the guy who bought it is in the building. <g>
Anyone who hands out cigarettes for anything is sleaze, in my book. Bush is the friend of big tobacco, big oil, big pollution, but Gore is supposed to be above that. In the end, he may be no better than Bush as far as ethics go. |
