Actually, TSC merely printed the opinion of that Marketplayer.com place. There are things about TSC that I don't like, but personally, I kinda like the place.
This has been a gut-wrenching year, for sure.
Over the long term, however, I have a great deal of faith in NTAP, and even EMC. Every projection I see talks about 100% annual growth of data storage. The view of the industry from my day job (a computer programmer) confirms these projections.
What I like the most, however, is that the idea of a "storage appliance" is absolutely foreign to many IS professionals - almost none (to quantify that - so far, only one (1) person) of the hundreds of IS people I deal with has even heard of a "storage appliance", much less NTAP, the premier player in the segment!
Incredible, but true of my little corner of the world in a Fortune 10 (and rapidly shrinking) company.
By inference, I feel this means that there's BOATLOADS of markets that don't even know they want a storage appliance, but would if they understood them.
