My response was based question of playing the markets where failure rates of start ups makes shorting a sounder strategy. I don't short because I don't see the social purpose in the transaction. For instance, in the insurance business the Principle of Indemnity requires that a loss not be to the benefit of the policyholder. In the case of SOLV short interest act as if they have a property right in the destruction of the firm and my capital invested in it. This is capitalism at it's worst.

I appreciate other inputs such as the more factual and thoughtful inputs that this thread provides. As you can see I can get out there with the more absurd short interest claims. I promise no more MSFT, Saudi Arabia, and aliens if disparages of the company would also will stick to facts and meaningful discourse.

With your background what is your read on the primary extraction modules. JR indicated in phone conference $6.00 extraction cost and reserves in the billions of barrels. He also indicated pipeline bitumen without the level of processing and dilutants that Suncor and Syncrude use.

An investor made a comment as to synthetic rubber, nylon, and advance gas extraction in the call. I would add the Hughes Drill bit. These processes changed the strategic world at a grave point in history. Major technology shifts have occurred and continue, some have reshape the world.

On Mobile and Shell, they have not chosen a recovery process. I don't think they are there to do the Syncrude/Suncor processes. I also believe the pipeline capacity expansion in the area is not coincidental to Solvex. I that two new with 500,000 barrels day capacity or 500,000 each anyone have information on the carriers ?

In case you're wondering about the 1.7 trillion barrels.

syncrude.com

These folks see the possibility of changes in technology increasing reserves. Regardless of individual investment goals and strategy, have to have guts to short this company.
