What I am about to say may anger some people, but I "believe" that it can't be too far from the truth!
Bill Clinton and associates have been working hard to turn the Jewish vote into a "block" and use it for Mr.Gore and Mrs.Clinton's elections. While at it, he has done more harm to the State of Israel than good! But it didn't bother the man, he wanted his wife to win in New York and his VP to win the Presidency!! Nothing else mattered.
First let me say that he was indirectly responsible for the political murder of Mr. Rabin by forcing Israelis and Palestinians into a peace agreement. That is too complex an issue to get into at this time.
This summer, Clinton, in the last months of his administration, tried single-handedly to force a peace upon Palestinians and Israelis. He called Mr. Barak and Yasser Arafat to Camp David, and tried to get them to "cut a deal"
as he is used to in Arkansas!! gg He ignored the fact that
Arafat could have never accepted an State for his people curved-out by the Americans. Clinton should have involved credible Arab leaders such as President Mubarak and King of Jordan so Arafat could have saved face and accepted a peace and an state approved by his his Arab brothers!
No way, Clinton wanted to do it all by himself! Prime Minster Barak didn't take the bait either! He new what happened to Rabin and what could happen to anybody who gives Jerusalem away. Both parties left Washington, bent on blocking Clinton. The only solution to save themselves from a Clinton "brokered peace" was violence and complete collapse of talks! Both side did a great job! Sharon visited the Temple Mount (maybe asked by the prime minister to do so!!) and Arafat couldn't hope for more! This is how blood-shed started.
At this point, Clinton blamed Palestinians, to gain favour from the Jewish voters in the US! No matter who wins or looses, Clinton private agenda was all that mattered!
The choice of Mr.Libermann was another of Clinton-Gore plan to get the Jewish vote! He first claimed that he is an Orthodox! One look at Mrs. Libermann in Jogging shorts and I knew he was not Orthodox! Facing protests from various people he had to admit that he made a mistake. Now he became a conservative Jew!! Again, he was confronted! The man does not eat Kosher and is not even staying home on Shabat, so what is this balagan about him being conservative Jew! I think he what in Europe we call the "Court Jew!" There only to make it look good and get the Jewish vote! To what extent did Clinton-Gore Camp succeeded? We have to wait and see. |
